Overview

A handsome Scandinavian Empire commode in mahogany, c. 1820. This Danish chest of drawers, also referred to as Scandinavian Biedermeier is joined in fine West Indies (Cuban) mahogany with beautiful bookmatched flame mahogany veneers on the drawer fronts. Chest offers three large storage drawers and rests on carved lion's paw feet. Comes with working locks and one key. Restored with French-polish finish in our workshop. Perfect size for a nightstand!

CONDITION DETAILS: While the key plates were added at some point in the piece's history, all locks are original and in working order. Chest comes with one original key. Additional keys can be cut on request
