Bonnin Ashley Custom Farm House Dining Table in Black Walnut

8' long x 42" wide x 30" high Farm House Table, with a 2" thick, solid old growth Black Walnut top and apron, showing the mill marks created by a 48" circular blade in the cutting process. The legs which are turned from Pennsylvania Cherry, were inspired by an antique Upstate New York harvest table in our stock, and stained to match. The top, which is composed of three planks, is joined with two batons at either end of the table on sliding dove tails (pictured) to allow the top to expand and contract freely without cracking. The batons are connected to the apron to hold the top in place. The wood is hand-oiled with multiple coats of tung oil and then finished with tung oil varnish and hard carnauba French wax. Our exclusive design and made entirely of reclaimed antique timber, this dining table can be fabricated for you in any size & from various wood options. What makes our tables unique? They are 100% green because all of the wood has been re-claimed and harvested here in America. There is no chance of the top cracking in any climate because each board moves independently of the table frame on sliding dove tails. The finish is a deep-penetrating oil, heirloom finish that will last a lifetime.
