Overview

A very handsome round table in the neoclassical style made of fine West Indies mahogany. New York, circa 1820. This Federal table is beautifully-crafted, with well-articulated carvings of tobacco leaves along the center column and on the splayed legs of its pedestal base, and fine play of figured wood grain along the apron. Table has a tilt-top feature that allowed it historically to rest upright in a corner when not in use. Comes with the original casters and hardware. Restored in our workshop with a French-polish finish.
Makes a stunning center table or end table!
