Overview

A large and impressive Empire mirror in giltwood from the court of French-born, Swedish king, Carl Johan of the House of Bernadotte. The mirror is flanked by columns with spiraling, and topped with acanthus-carved capitals. Decorative motifs on arched top include wheat shafts & feather plumes. Mirror can hang on a wall or stand as a floor mirror. Sweden, circa 1825.
