A very beautiful and grand American Belle Époque dining table that measures 12 feet at its smallest and 20 feet when fully extended. Joined in a fine mahogany with dramatic carved gadrooning along the edge of the racetrack top, with carved cabriole legs and carved center supports. There are 5 leaves that are fully skirted and carved, giving it a totally finished look when fully extended to its maximum capacity. It is shown here in the photographs at 12 feet. Table opens easily to insert the leaves. The center legs always stay in the center when table is extended. The carved pillars that are between the end legs and the center legs move with the table. The spacial relationship of the pillars to the end legs remains the same as table is extended. New York, circa 1890.
