Overview
A handsome North German Biedermeier chest of drawers in West Indies mahogany whose fine figuring is expertly book-matched throughout highlighting the beauty of the wood and overall design. Chest offers four drawers of staggered depths and rests on original block feet. The top drawer has a convex front which opens to four small interior drawers for valuables, and the deeper bottom drawer has a beveled front that protrudes out. Likely from North Germany or Denmark, circa 1825. Restored in our workshop and French polished. Comes with working locks and one key.
Makes a wonderful entrance console, end table or nightstand!
Measurements: 36" wide x 18" deep x 34.5" high.
