Overview
A very beautiful pair of consoles with serpentine-front & the original mirrors with carved & pierced bonnets in Cuban (or West Indies) mahogany. Cabinets offer one drawer each & rest on carved escargot feet. The bonnets above the mirror have an arched foliate design & are well-articulated. The pair are finished in the original French polish. Mirrors offer the original glass. Denmark, circa 1850. The Danes actively traded with Cuba and the Caribbean & imported exquisite Cuban mahogany for cabinet-making during the 19th century. These cabinets are completely original & in very good condition.
Great in a living room, dining room or as night stands in a bedroom!
