About Kai Drews (1884-1964):
Drews was educated at the technical school of art and at other private art schools.
He has been exhibited widely in Scandinavia and Europe. Kai Drews was primarily a landscape painter and known for his romantic and traditional landscapes from Zealand and dyrehaven in Denmark. Drews was highly inspired by the Danish master painter Peter mönsted and mönsteds influence is noticeable in Kai Drews art.
Dyrehaven, officially Jægersborg Dyrehave, is a forest park north of Copenhagen. It covers around 11 square kilometres. Dyrehaven is noted for its mixture of huge, ancient oak trees and large populations of red and fallow deer
