Set of Four French Charles X Armchairs in Mahogany with Upholstery, circa 1825

A very fine set of four French Charles X fauteuils or open armchairs in a dark, rich mahogany with scrolled arms on carved "S" arm supports, upholstered back and seat, and resting on carved cabriole legs. France, circa 1820-25. This exquisite set is in great condition, and has been French-polished in our atelier. It is remarkable that they have remained together as a set of four over the course of their long history, since often chairs are split among offspring. The chairs offer a wide and comfortable seat, and are upholstered in a cream-colored twill Sunbrella fabric.

Great library or salon chairs! Also, wonderful up to a breakfast or games table, using a seat cushion!!
