A very fine and unusually long Charles X sideboard with beautifully carved volutes decorated with acanthus leaves flanking each of two cabinet doors, below three concave drawers. Back-splash is embellished with carved crown of laurel leaves. Solid African mahogany top, back-splash and drawer fascias with mahogany also used as the secondary wood, a practice employed at the time with only the finest workmanship. French polished mahogany, France, circa 1830.

Other Characteristics: Solid Mahogany with mahogany veneer on both sides of doors, mahogany secondary wood throughout. Inside is French polished with the same attention to detail as the outside. Beautiful patina!
Condition: Good. Original hinges were changed for continuous hinges on the doors at some point in its history.
