Overview

A very handsome Rococo Revival writing table in a fine plum mahogany attributable to well-known New York City cabinet maker, Joseph Meeks & Sons. Features inset leather top with tooled border, well-articulated gadrooning along table edge, two drawers and resting on a carved trestle base with scrolled feet and a rope-turned stretcher, with exquisite carving throughout. Working locks and key, circa 1850.

Measures: 35" wide x 24" deep x 31" high
29 1/2" from floor to writing surface.
