19th Century Italian Neo-Classical Painted Cabinet

A very beautiful and tall Italian neoclassical-style cabinet with polychromed finish, with four open display shelves over two cabinet doors. The display cupboard is flanked by robust columns that have a faux-marble painted finish and are capped with carved ionic capitals. Italy, circa 1880.

Note: If desired, the frame that defines the open display area, which has four scalloped shelves, could be hinged & glazed to create a closed glass vitrine. Alternatively, brass wire could be placed in the frame.
