Overview
A lovely dowry armoire from the Alsace region of France with folk-painted artwork. Features vases with stylized flowers & doves, symbols of fertility & a fruitful union, over a maroon tooled & grained background embellished with foliage. Colors include celestial blue, teal blue, green, orange & yellow. Includes a vertical dividing wall with (3) shelves on each side for a total of 6 shelves. Armoire comes with working key & lock, and splits into two sections to facilitate shipping. France, circa 1830.

63" wide at crown molding (58 1/2" at waist) x 19" deep (21" at crown) x 85" high.
