Overview
Napoleon III interpretation of a Louis XVI cabinet or bookcase with original marble top, bronze doré ormolu, antique book binders on the end doors and a brass wire centre door that has hardware for a curtain. Offers three shelves in each side cabinet while on the center section there are four shelves that are adjustable. Comes with working locks and keys. Cabinet is well restored, circa 1850.
Interior shelves are all new made out or 3/4 " birch plywood with solid wood fronts. They have been stained and polished to match the original finish. The original back panel frame is intact but the vertical wooden centre planks have been replaced with walnut.
