Overview
40" wide x 19 3/4" deep x 63" high.
A very handsome Biedermeier silver or liquor chest in book-matched flame mahogany, Denmark, circa 1835. Features a pedestal top over a single drawer followed by cabinet doors that open to an open storage area with three small interior drawers. The base rests on carved lions' paw feet & houses three large drawers. Chest has original mother-of-pearl key plates, working locks with key.
Note: Beautifully-crafted with lovely details like the interior drawers which are in rosewood with banding. Interior space of cabinet is faux-painted to look like rosewood. Oak is the secondary wood throughout with choice mahogany veneers that are expertly book-matched.

CONDITION
Good. Piece has been fully-restored & French-polished in our workshop. We were very careful to respect the original finish, including the color and patina in the process of restoring it. Working locks with key, original mother-of-pearl key plates. All drawers and door function well.

Wear consistent with age and use.
