A very beautiful Chinese cabinet in elm with original cinnabar (red) lacquer with carved peonies on the side spandrels. Offers two storage drawers above the two cabinet doors. Qing Dynasty, China, circa 1800. The peony is considered China's most important flower. When depicted in Chinese art, it represents honor, beauty, romantic love, wealth & riches.
