Overview
A very lovely Louis Philippe nightstand or side table in fine West Indies/ Cuban mahogany with a concave front. Offers one drawer over a cabinet door that opens to interior shelving. Features a pedestal top with curvilinear inset panels on drawer & door, carved foliate appliqués along the sides & escargot feet. The expert book-matching, along with the various play of figured wood grains & tones enhances all of the fine sculptural features of this exquisite cabinet. Northern Europe, likely Germany, circa 1850. Restored in our workshop with a French-polish finish. Comes with working locks & one key.
Great as an end table, nightstand or console in an entrance or narrow hallway!
