Set of Eight Chinese Chippendale Chairs (English George II Style) in Mahogany with slip seats, China c. 1850. With well-articulated carved back, cabriole legs & ball and claw feet. Proportions of chairs are more in keeping with Asian interpretation of English Chippendale form. Possibly originated in Hong Kong or Shanghai for the English Market. Wide comfortable seat, sturdy construction.
