Overview

From the Baltic region, a very beautiful and unusual Empire corner cupboard in fine West Indies/ Cuban mahogany with two stacked cabinet doors that are bowed, and are separated by a drawer. Some distinctive architectural details include the finely carved bonnet with anthemions, the steps that separate the upper cabinet from the lower one, and the carved acanthus scrollwork appliqués. Scandinavia, circa 1800. Comes with three working keys. French-polish finish.
Measurements: 36 1/2" wide x 24 1/4" depth from each side into the corner (about 22 1/2" depth from centre into the corner) x 79 1/4" high.
