From the French court of Napoleon III, a very fine pair of Second Empire bookcases or display cabinets in mahogany with turned & reeded columns flanking a single cabinet door paneled in beveled glass. Inlays of brass enhance the piece throughout. Offers adjustable shelving, one exterior drawer on the bottom, and working locks & keys. France, circa 1870
Our French polish & restoration is of museum quality. This exquisite pair has been repolished & is in excellent to good condition.
