Overview

A very fine and lovely 18th century petit French commode in the Directoire style in rosewood and amaranth (purpleheart wood) with original black and white marble top. Chest rests on splayed legs and offers three drawers with original bronze d'ore key plates and pulls, France, 1775. Restored in our workshop with French-Polish finish.
The Directoire period was a transitional period between Louis XVI and Empire from 1775 to 1779.
Makes a beautiful end table!
Measures: 25" wide x 14" deep x 34 1/4" high.
