Overview
An early Victorian side chair in mahogany with curved top rail, and raised on turned front legs and saber back legs. Seat is upholstered in a tufted, beige/camel-colored leather with brass nailheads, England, circa 1840. Note: A pair of side chairs (LU988117711531) and an armchair (LU988117735831) that were part of the set are offered separately.

Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Chair is in good condition with wear consistent with age & use. Frame was cleaned & polished. Leather seat is strong, has a lovely patina & is in antique serviceable condition with some superficial cracks & chafe marks (see photos). Comfortable!
