Overview

A little jewel of a sewing table in prized rosewood with an octagonal top depicting a pastoral scene of two young lovers, with inlays of various woods. Top opens to eight lidded compartments that are also decorated with marquetry. The pedestal base consists of a vase-turned and carved column, which is faux-painted and rests on quatre-form base that terminates on ebonized, carved lion's paw feet. Lock is in good working order.
