Overview
A rare and charming Louix XV "Garde Manger a Tiroir" from Brittany, France, c. 1760. This provincial cupboard would have been used to store food much in the same way as our American "pie safe". It would make a great cabinet in a kitchen as a small pantry, or in a family room to store games, puzzles, blankets, etc. It could also be used as a closet in a small guest room or bath!
Made from French cherry with peg construction. Top is removable.
Measurements: 28.5" wide x 23.5 deep x 57" high

Condition: Excellent. The door lock has been replaced, The hinges, key plate and pulls on the drawers are original.
