Overview

A very lovely early Art Deco dining table fabricated by A. Brants Tonnemans at their workshop in Brussels, circa 1915. Table features a rectangular top with rounded corners which rests on tapered cylindrical legs cupped with bronze doré sabots embellished with palmettes. The top has a quilted-plum mahogany center panel surrounded on the perimeter by a honey-colored, lighter root wood with a geometric pattern formed with line inlays in satinwood & ebony with inlaid squares in mahogany. The apron has a plum mahogany center panel & a kingwood border separated by line inlays in satinwood. Seats 6 and has the potential to seat more with the addition of leaves. As shown, the apron at the ends pull out like drawers with drop-down legs to support leaves, but the leaves are no longer with the table. Belgium, circa 1915. Table has been restored in our workshop & refinished with French polish.
