Overview
A very handsome early Biedermeier chest in ash with scalloped top, thinly-turned half-columns on chamfered corners, terminating in short Grecian style feet. Offers four drawers of staggered depths with original carved wooden key plates, original working locks, and one key, Austria, circa 1815. French-polish finish.

Condition: Excellent. As part of the restoration process, original locks were removed, cleaned and oiled. Replacement key that came with chest is in cast aluminum. Ash with walnut key plates. French-polish finish.
